Standard Operating Procedure for Room Setup – Harvesting Room Setup

1. Purpose

The purpose of this SOP is to provide guidance for the setup of the harvesting room within the cannabis cultivation facility.

2. Scope

This document covers the procedures and protocols for the setup of the harvesting room within the cannabis cultivation facility.

3. Prerequisites

Before setting up the harvesting room within the cannabis cultivation facility, the following prerequisites must be met:

  • A harvesting room setup policy and procedures must be in place and approved.
  • All employees responsible for setting up the harvesting room must be trained on the harvesting room setup policy and procedures.

4. Responsibilities

This SOP applies to the following roles:

Responsibilities of the Quality Assurance, Assistant Growers, and Internal Auditor include:

  • Ensuring that the harvesting room is set up in accordance with the harvesting room setup policy and procedures.
  • Monitoring compliance with the harvesting room setup policy and procedures and identifying areas where additional training may be needed.
  • Reporting any concerns or issues related to the harvesting room setup to the Master Grower.

5. Procedure

The following steps should be followed to set up the harvesting room within the cannabis cultivation facility:

  1. Room preparation
    • Clean and sanitize the harvesting room before setting it up.
    • Ensure that all necessary equipment and supplies are available and in good working condition.
  2. Room layout
    • Plan the layout of the harvesting room based on the needs of the operation.
    • Install the appropriate harvesting equipment, such as trimming machines and tables, and ensure that they are in good working condition.
    • Ensure that there is sufficient space for personnel to move around the room.
  3. Room signage
    • Label all equipment and supplies with the appropriate information, such as the name, model number, and date of purchase.
    • Ensure that all signs and labels are clear and legible.
  4. Room inspection
    • Inspect the harvesting room to ensure that all equipment and supplies are in good working condition.
    • Correct any deficiencies before using the room.
  5. Waste disposal
    • Establish a waste disposal system that includes procedures for collecting and disposing of plant waste, such as stems and leaves.
    • Ensure that waste disposal procedures are in compliance with local regulations and best practices.

7. Reporting
